Lanarkshire Polish Community Group
The Lanarkshire Polish Community Group (LPCG) has been active since 2015, supporting Polish people living in Lanarkshire and across Scotland as they build a life here while staying connected to Polish culture and traditions.
Their logo brings together the Polish white eagle and the Scottish Saltire — a clear nod to Polish–Scottish community identity in Lanarkshire.
What they do
LPCG organises community and cultural events in the Motherwell / Bellshill area — family-friendly gatherings, celebrations of Polish culture, and charity fundraising that brings people together.
For example, as part of the 34th Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) finale in Scotland, the group ran a family “Get to Know Polish Culture – Fun Day” at Holy Family Parish Centre in Mossend / Bellshill. The day included a traditional Polish–Scottish breakfast, folk song and dance, charity auctions, activities for children, and local partners such as the School of Polish Language and Culture in Motherwell.
